House of Hope
House of Hope in York, PA is a non-residential care program that provides mentoring, counseling, guidance and love to troubled and hurting teenagers. We support the House of Hope financially and through prayer. We help them make Peanut Butter Eggs for their annual Peanut Butter Egg event. (You can see some photos of this event in the photo section of the website.) In addition, we’ve made gift card donations to the residents of House of Hope and we’ve donated specific items from their “Needs List”. We visited the House of Hope for a movie night, tutoring help, and other activities. Our support is greatly appreciated by the staff and residents of House of Hope.
The Lehman Caring Center is the York branch of Children’s Aid Society. The Lehman Center is committed to helping children and their families build stronger, healthier lives through compassionate and professional services. Children are not only the hope of our future, but an essential part of our present society. The gifts of all children should be nurtured and cherished. Children and families with added stressors and problems need additional help and support. Early intervention and prevention will enable children to become healthier and happier adults. Beta Gamma supports the center through financial donations and by collecting toiletries to give out to children and families in crisis.
Our chapter gives a scholarship each year to a graduating senior pursuing a degree in education. It is our pleasure to support young people entering the field of education.
